Tender documents for the Air Terminal Building have been finalized and will be available to interested parties on Monday February 27th at YVR Airport Services offices in Vancouver and on Tuesday February 28th at the Airport Manager’s office in Cranbrook.

A plan room will be set up at the Airport Management’s Office (9:30 am to 4 pm Monday to Friday) and all information will also be posted in the BC Construction Association’s electronic plan room.

The tender closing date and time is: Tuesday, April 4th, 2006 at 2:00:00 pm, Vancouver time.

McFarlane Green presented 50% terminal building design to Cranbrook City Council including artist renditions of the terminal building layout. YVRAS Project Manager Kevin Johnston delivered a positive budget update and status report on the runway project.

Both Terminal Building and Airside design continue to progress with 50% design of Air Terminal Building complete and 25% of Runway design complete.

Western Economic Diversification agrees to fund 95% of a $130,000 International Strategic Marketing initiative to promote the airport in advance of the scheduled Spring 2007 completion date. Area resorts have agreed to fund the remaining 5%.

McFarlane Green Architects complete the value engineering study on the Air Terminal Building options resulting in Cranbrook City Council's decision to pursue the recommended option to renovate and expand the existing facility.
